Snowplows
With Dulles recording a record 32 inches of snow, it has been a snowplow heavy weekend for TeamGriffey. The clear highlight was Alisha and Carson climbing aboard a huge John Deere tractor/plow and clearing a few neighborhood streets. (If only I had a camera!)
Currently, Declan is at the front window “talking” to a snowplow that drove by 15 minutes ago. I guess that I should be happy that he is considerate enough to feel that thanking our brave civil servants is important enough to repeat the same phrase over and over again.
Truckin’
We are still catching up from the excitement of the holidays. Santa was good to TeamGriffey this year. The toys Alisha and I received cost a lot more than Declan’s. I suspect, however, that his are more fun.
That said, don’t get Alisha started on the Grocery Gadget list application on her iPhone. (Seriously…consider yourself warned.)
Happy Birthday, Declan!
Sunday was Declan’s 2nd birthday. Always in a hurry to catch up to Carson, if asked, Declan will tell you that he turned “tree” or three.
While we’ll have a full celebration later, Alisha took the birthday boy to the local firehouse. He got to meet the fireman, climb on the trucks, watch the flashing lights, and he even got a toy fire helmet. Delcan was so shell shocked that he didn’t say a word while there. He has, however, been talking about it ever since.
